Dear Women of Intention,
Back by popular demand, Women of Intention will be returning for the fifth year to
Lake
Redman
to spend a relaxing evening boating under the stars. If you have not been out on a lake at night, you are in for a treat. The stars are brilliant, the sounds of nature comforting.
We will gather at the Pavilion near the
Lake
at
7:00 pm
. Please bring a dish to share. Paperware, silverware, dessert, fruit and beverages will be provided.
After dinner, Pat Banzhoff will lead the group in a yoga-type breathing exercise and guided meditation focused on synchronizing with summer energy. Pat is a tap dancing, gardening, equestrienne with a joy and gratitude for life. She has been a Reiki master for 15+ years and more recently has studied to become a western shaman. She resides on a historic property outside of Mechanicsburg where she holds fire ceremonies for women (and men) around the times of full moons and changes of seasons.
At about
8:30, we will head out on the water and have until
9:45
to enjoy the solitude and beauty of the outdoors after dark.
At
9:45, we will meet in the middle of the
Lake
where Jeri Jones, York Recreation’s Amateur Astronomer Extraordinare, will tie our boats together. For the next 30 minutes, with the assistance of his trusty laser pointer, we will be treated to his tour of the heavens. The evening will conclude with our making our own ice cream sundaes. Could life get any better than that?
The evening will conclude close to 11. The raindate is Sunday, June 20th. Please align with my intention and request of the Weather God/Goddess that June 18th be a clear evening with a temperature in the low 70’s.
As we get closer to the event, if anyone is in need of a ride and/or wishes to carpool, I will do my best to connect those that are going.
Lake
Redman
is at the southern end of
York
and takes approximately 30 minutes to get to from the 581/83
South Split
.
Please feel free to share this e-mail with any friends that you think would enjoy the evening. If you have a daughter, or mother, that you believe would find this fun, by all means invite them. Hope to see you there. If you are planning to attend, please let me know if you’d like me to hold a canoe, kayak, double kayak, rowboat or pedal boat for your use. There are a limited number of each type of boat, so register early to get your first choice.
