Women of Intention:
Where do you go for joy when you live in a post genocide country? Where do you go for joy when you have lost your family and have no job opportunities? Maybe it's a simple as an ice cream cone. Maybe it just takes one person who asks "How can I help?"
This is the improbable tale of Inzozi Nziza, the very 1st ice cream store in Rwanda. Donna Fleetwood of Bpeace will give a guided pictorial tour of her 2 weeks in Butare Rwanda training 17 women in customer service as they prepared to change their entire community with a sweet dream. You'll see lots of smiles and have a deeper understanding of how happiness is a choice for all of us. Donna will discuss how she found her life purpose for service and lifting the burdens of women through a series of synchronicities. Listen to this as a love story, for Donna reports that she has fallen for an entire country, and found her passion and joy in the process.
Inzozi Nziza has captured the imagination of all who hear how a little ice cream store will hold the space for new memories in a country still mourning it's loss. In June 2010 it was featured on CNN and in a Time magazine article titled "Can Ice Cream help pull Rwanda out of Poverty?"

Bpeace believes the path to peace is lined with jobs and that more jobs mean less violence. Bpeace works in Rwanda, Afghanistan, and is expanding into El Salvador. Donna Fleetwood is a full time local realtor and serves on the Executive Council of Bpeace, advocating for women's dreams of building a better future in their countries.
